This fun, liberating workout helps you develop body awareness, creativity, and confidence through the movement of dance. Drawing on many styles of modern dance (such as Jazz, Graham, Norton), you focus on movement and fluidity, using choreographed routines that help build technical skill (footwork, placement, strength, flexibility) as well as challenge coordination, memory, space awareness, and movement to music.

All levels are welcome, from beginners to more experienced dancers- the class will be adapted for your level.

According to Tantra, the ultimate goal of Yoga is to awaken our inner fire - what the tradition calls Kundalini, or Prana Shakti.

This is a dynamic class suitable for all students, although some experience in yoga is recommended.

Tantra Vinyasa employs all the senses, both subtle and gross. Classes incorporate creative asana sequencing, pranayama, bandhas, and a little mantra, dharma and music to flow to.

Tantra is a tradition aimed at accessing and assimilating the divine energy in all things, in order to achieve both worldly success and spiritual liberation. These practices are dedicated to brightening the sacred fire, or life force, so we embody it, realizing more joy, love, capacity and freedom.

The purpose of this Vinyasa/Yin class is to use the dynamic flow of traditional yoga asanas/postures to warm up the body and release the tension of the week for the first 30 minutes of the class. The second half of the practice will be Yin based yoga, enabling the body and mind to wind down, in preparation for the weekend.

Dynamic Flow Vinyasa is a high-intensity class geared towards building heat, detoxing the body, exploring personal limits, and letting the body sweat!  Each class will focus on a varying theme including opening the heart & backbends, hips & twists, full body flow, or a sequence for inversions & arm balances... just to name a few.  As the class is structured around traditional Vinyasa technique, special attention will be given to the fluid transition between each posture allowing for a vibrant and intimate connection to the self.

This Hatha Flow class will focus on the breath, proper alignment of postures, and simple, yet dynamic transitions to strengthen the physical body and calm the mind. Intensely focused postures with modifications for every level, and a deeply relaxing cool-down will be offered. This class could be considered the merging point between the traditional Hatha (static) and Vinyasa (fluid) offerings.

Prana Vinyasa Flow Yoga is influenced by Shiva Rea which makes this particular style of Vinyasa playful and creative, integrating Prana Vinyasa Flow into all the sequences. Each of these yoga classes are different and based on a creative theme which is carried throughout the practice.

This class is subject to cancellation depending on weather conditions. If the teacher deems the conditions or forecast unsafe or too disagreeable then the class will be cancelled 2 hours or more before the start time. Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements. It is a vigorous and revitalizing form of physical fitness. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and physical and mental stamina in one session. Baron Baptiste, the founder of this form of yoga, describes this practice as “the perfect blend of sweat and serenity.
 
”Vinyasa meaning, “flow” or “to move without resistance,” incorporates interval and cross-training exercises to challenge both the aerobic and anaerobic systems of the body. As your body adapts, it is important to vary the types, intensity and duration of the exercises.
 
Power Vinyasa yoga incorporates regular sequences that become familiar to students, but incorporates variations to modify, intensify, or challenge the body by altering the pace or duration of poses, and the frequency that they are repeated.

 This increasingly popular exercise regime incorporates the precision of Pilates with the positions, moves, grace and technique of ballet. Add to this the alignment of yoga and the strength from sports conditioning and you will have all of the aspects of a typical Ballet Fitness workout. The combined elements of the different methods fuse to form a challenging and exciting workout, which stretches and sculpts the muscles, whilst burning fat. Balance, strength, stamina, power, flexibility and motor control all improve. This workout produces dramatic results that sculpt and redefine the entire body, without even being a dancer.

The result is a body that is realigned, rebalanced and works harmoniously and efficiently. This workout is suitable for every-body as various adaptations are given throughout the class to suit the abilities of all students.

Please note: at this particular location, the room has no Barre equipment, so the class will have a slightly modified format to accommodate that. Expect all the good things we love about Ballet Barre but - minus the Barre. This means, we still follow the Ballet Barre routines, but we will be working a bit more intensly our core stability (as we wont be held up by the bar) and incorporating a bit more dance into the routines. Strengthen and energize the body with this traditional form of moving meditation. The practice will focus on alignment, breathing, energy lock (bandhas) and gazing points (drishti) in a steady pace.
 

Beginners will work on learning the sequence, and students with more experience will solidify an even greater foundation for further growth.

Yoga nidra (Sanskrit: योग निद्रा) or yogic sleep) is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. This state of consciousness (yoga nidra) is different from meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. The yogic goal of both paths, deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation are the same, a state called samadhi.
Yoga nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness.

The practice of yoga relaxation has been found to reduce tension and anxiety. The autonomic symptoms of high anxiety such as headache, chest pain, palpitations, sweating and abdominal pain respond well.

Stretch and strengthen your muscles the way dancers do in this conditioning class featuring floor-based ballet training exercises (a mat or a towel is strongly recommended). The class is practiced from seated and prone postures (lying on the stomach), but it certainly won't compromise on challenge and efficiency!
 
 
The combined elements of ballet, Pilates, and yoga form a challenging and engaging workout which will work your legs, hips, glutes, and core in an efficient and dynamic way. The focus is on toning, increasing flexibility, and increasing alignment awareness whilst developing heightened coordination and muscle control.
 
 
As the class is practiced on the floor, you'll get a low-impact workout that makes for a very fluid practice. All this is combined with vibrant, upbeat music that will keep you motivated to keep working hard until the very end of the class.

Dynamic Flow Vinyasa is a high-intensity class geared towards building heat, detoxing the body, exploring personal limits, and letting the body sweat!  Each class will focus on a varying theme including opening the heart & backbends, hips & twists, full body flow, or a sequence for inversions & arm balances... just to name a few.  As the class is structured around traditional Vinyasa technique, special attention will be given to the fluid transition between each posture allowing for a vibrant and intimate connection to the self.

Le yoga Hatha intègre une série de postures tenues pour entre 30sec et 3mn. On utilise des postures de "repos" entre chaque asana. Ce style de cours incorpore toujours une profonde relaxation et des exercices de respiration, en plus de la pratique du yoga asanas / postures. Le rythme plus lent permet également une approche plus concentrée d'alignement du corps dans chaque pose. Ceci est une excellente occasion de se familiariser avec les postures traditionnelles qui sont utilisées dans les cours de Vinyasa qui est plus rapide.
Ce cours est en français. Si ce n'est pas votre langue maternelle, n'hésitez pas à demander des précisions au professeur.

Show your mind and your body some love -- you'll build strength and flexibility through this classic series of yoga postures.

In Hatha Yoga, each position held for between 30sec and 3mins with rests in between, as well as incorporating deep relaxation and breathing exercises.

If you like the feeling of the positive rush of endorphins through the body- this class is for you!!
We all gain a little extra in winter and dread the onset of summer so why not keep up a regular work out all year with the INDOOR BOOTCAMP CLASS!

Its main focus is fat burning and toning of all muscle groups to make you feel lean and confident.You don't have to be super fit to participate - all levels welcome. This class is designed in such a way that can be adopted to each individual ability without affecting the group. If you are starting on your journey to better fitness or are already very sporty and want to increase your performance by cross training, this class will be equally beneficial in getting you to your goal.

We will focus on body weight resistance training with exercises that are designed to engage maximum number of muscles in one movement, and mimic your natural functional movement patterns and hence develop your strength and fitness that would be useful in improving your quality of life (as opposed to isolated gym equipment exercises that only work on a few muscles at a time and often make you work in superficial range of motion that is rarely utilised in your day-to-day life.)

We will also do some cardio training which will be different to outdoor classes - designed to improve your heart-centered fitness as well as increase your body's fat burning capability during, and even after your workout. This will involve running, jumping, skipping, kick boxing and dancing.

To increase its effectiveness even further by keeping your muscles and joints supple, - the class will start and finish with a yoga warm up and cool down and deep guided relaxation to help you regenerate and become stronger faster.

We will focus on arms, shoulder and back strengthening, abs and butts training, stretching for suppleness and flexibility and mood boosting moves to brighten up our day through the winter!

This class is for those who are wishing to progress their yoga practice on a more advanced level. The intermediate level offering will follow a similar format as our 'All Levels' Vinyasa Flow classes, but will include a series of more advanced postures, shorter breaks in between sequences, and for those who are hoping to attend on a regular basis, an element of progression.

The class is suitable for all who have been practicing yoga for a substantial period of time, feel confident about the basic yoga techniques, and would like to challenge themselves further.

The class will include less verbal descriptions of how to get into postures but rather more guidance on how to perfect and progress them once you are holding and transitioning through the asanas.

Each week we'll explore a different theme in this Hatha/Vinyasa style class which focuses on specific areas of the body.
 
Chakra means ‘wheel’ in Sanksrit, and in yogic tradition, each chakra is an area in the body connected with life energy. This class will focus on the seven chakras in the body, each of them being an interface for the flow of life energy. A chakra vitalizes a physical body and is associated with interactions of a physical or mental nature. Each week the flow will concentrate on one or two chakras specifically, while also engaging the rest chakras in supporting ways.
 
Meditation and Pranayama (breathing exercises) are also included in this class style.

The very purpose of our physical yoga practice is to prepare the mind for purposeful concentration. We move and stretch the body so that when we sit for meditation, we are able to be still and calm. The door to this state is our intention. The key to that door is our breath.

In this class we will be exploring the different available meditation techniques ranging from Mantra Repetition, Mudra Hand Positions, Chakra Energy Stimulation, Guided Visualization, and Yoga Nidra / Rest. Each of these ancient practices are intimately connected to the conscious regulation of our inhales and exhales known as Pranayama.

The purpose of this Vinyasa/Yin class is to use the dynamic flow of traditional yoga asanas/postures to warm up the body and release the tension of the week for the first 30 minutes of the class. The second half of the practice will be Yin based yoga, enabling the body and mind to wind down, in preparation for the weekend.

In Yin Yoga, the postures are floor-based and are held for longer periods of time (generally 3 to 8 minutes). This allows the body to relax into the postures, developing flexibility and serenity.

Le but d'un cours de Vinyasa est de relier les asanas traditionnels/postures ensemble dans un flux harmonieux, tout en donnant l'accent à la méditation active. This hour-long combination of resistance training and intervals of cardio will keep your heart rate elevated, burn calories, and increase your lean muscle mass (resulting in an increase in metabolic rate that will help you burn even MORE calories outside class time!). This class is tailored for those who are looking for a fun and engaging way to increase cardiovascular fitness and strength; all while in a supervised, encouraging, and supportive atmosphere. The workouts are designed with the goal of burning fat and toning muscle to make you feel lean, strong and confident.

 

 

✅ CLASS LEVEL:
There is no ‘minimum fitness level’ required to participate, all levels are welcome! All the exercises can be adapted to your individual ability without affecting the group, and the instructor will demonstrate all exercises in detail and give different options for participants of different levels.

Whether you are only just starting on your journey to better fitness or are already very sporty and want to increase your performance by cross training, this class will be equally beneficial in getting you to your goal.

 

 

CLASS STRUCTURE:
What does an outdoor bootcamp class look like? Each class is split into three distinct sections: the warm-up, the workout, and the cool-down.

 

PART 1 Warm-up: Each class will begin with a 5-10 minute warm up focused on joint mobility,
dynamic stretching, and gradually elevating the heart rate. This warm-up
will help prepare the joints and muscles for training, as well as act as an
introduction to any movements the participants might not be familiar with.

 

PART 2 Workout: The workout portion of the class (approximately 40 minutes long) contains
a mixture of two types of training:

Resistance Training- Resistance training is accomplished through functional movement: exercises that are designed to engage maximum number of muscles in one movement, and mimic your natural functional movement patterns and hence develop your strength and fitness that would be useful in improving your quality of life (as opposed to isolated gym equipment exercises that only work on a few muscles at a time and often make you work in superficial range of motion that is rarely utilized in your day-to-day life). These resistance exercises will be performed either with bodyweight alone, or with the use of resistance bands: elastics that are used to mimic the effect of weight training on the body.


Cardiovascular Interval Training- This portion of the workout is designed to improve your heart-centred fitness as well as increase your body’s fat-burning capability during and after your workout. This will involve running, jumping, skipping, and other fun activities. The resistance and cardio intervals will contain exercises designed to challenge the entire body: legs, arms, back and abdominals.

 

PART 3 Cooldown: Following the workout, time will be taken at the end to stretch and bring down the heart rate. This portion will contain a mixture of yoga poses and stretches, performed at a low intensity.

This class is held in English, though most of our teachers do speak some French, so they can help you understand if you have questions. The great thing about taking this class in another language is that you can mostly learn by watching!

 

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING, AND CHANGING FACILITIES
As we will be exercising outdoors, there are no dedicated changing facilities. If possible, please come already wearing your exercise clothes:
- Trainers / sports shoes.
- Comfortable, layered clothing. Wear something to keep you warm during the warm up and cool down, but something that you can take off during the main part as you may get a bit hot and sweaty.
- Water Bottle
- Yoga mat or Towel - not required, but it is likely to provide you more comfort during the yoga parts of the class.
