How do I book a class?

- Visit the schedule page of the city you would like to attend a class in. (Click here for Paris and here for Toulouse)
- Click "Sign Up" next to the class(es) of your choosing and log into your account or create a new one if you do not have one yet.

- If you do not have sufficient credit, you will be prompted to purchase it before making your reservation.

- You can purchase credit on our “Prices & Packages” page.
Do I need to book my class in advance?
No, but we suggest doing so as our classes can be pretty busy and it is the only way to secure your spot.
When you book a class in advance, please keep in mind that we have a 10 hour cancellation policy. This means that if you sign up for a class, you can cancel until 10 hours prior without being charged for it. Anytime after that will count as a visit.
How can I pay for my classes?
Visit our Prices & Packages page and select the type of credit you would like to purchase through our online store. You will need to be logged into your account with us to purchase class passes.
Do I need to buy credit online?
No, you can drop into a class without a reservation and buy credit with the teacher, using a credit card. Please note that you do need a valid account in order to attend classes. Also, we do recommend to buy credit before attending the class, as that way the sign in is much easier and you are all set for your class.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment by credit card only, either in advance when pre-registering for a class or in person with the teacher if you choose to drop in. We do not accept cash or check payment (we are paper free!) We do not accept American Express cards.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
Yes. As we rent our spaces we cannot guarantee that there will be any mats available to borrow (nor can we attest to the quality of any mats that could be in the room that have been donated or left behind). If you do not have a mat you can purchase one through our online store and pick them up at one of our available locations. 
How can I purchase a yoga mat or a gift card?
We have an online store where you can purchase yoga mats for 24€ and gift cards! Check it out at here. You will also find information as to where to pick up your mat here. If you have any additional questions about the mat purchase or pick up, please email help@affordableyoga.com.
Is my credit card secure on your website?
We use the fully SSL accredited platform MindBody to process online payments and store customer details. Therefore, all data is stored securely. Additionally, the MindBody database is monitored 24/7 for any sign of malicious activity. We use Adyen Payment Solutions to ensure the security of your online purchases. I pre-registered for a class, do I still need to check in with the teacher?
Absolutely!  By pre-registering, you are reserving your place in the class. Our teachers are paid based on the number of students that actually attend. The only way we can account for this is if you check in with the teacher personally. If you do not, your credit will still have been utilised, but the instructor will have been shortchanged! It's quick, easy, and your way to reciprocate for the practice that you receive in each class. Plus, it's how we get to know you!
Are the classes in English or French?
Currently most of our classes are in English, but most teachers can give French translations if needed and requested at the beginning of the class. We are starting to add bilingual and French classes to our schedule.
Do you have a mobile app?
Yes, and it is free to download! Just search for Affordable Yoga & Fitness on either the Google Play store for Android devices, or the Apple Store here.
Where is my class taking place? I can’t see the address in the booking confirmation email.
Visit our Schedule page for the exact address and room where your class is taking place.
I didn’t receive an email about being moved from waiting list / or class cancellation?
If you opted out of receiving email notifications from us when creating your account, you will not receive these messages from us. To opt back in, please notify help@affordableyoga.com to get back onto our notification list.

Otherwise, if you never opted out and you are still not seeing messages from us, please update your spam settings and make sure that our messages are not going into your junk folder.

If this did not help either, please check that there is no spelling mistake in the email address for your account.

Do you have changing rooms and showers?
The only locations that provide designated changing rooms and showers are 14 Blvd Poissonnière 75009, 119 Ave. du Général Leclerc 75014 and 68 Rue De Faubourg. Otherwise, there are restroom spaces where one can change. There are no designated changing areas for outdoor classes in the parks.
Are there lockers?
There are no secure areas in any of our locations for valuables, so we suggest keeping valuables with you in the room. We do not accept responsibility for theft or loss of personal items.
How long are my credits valid for?
- Drop in credits are valid for one year.
- Class passes do not have an expiry date.
What if I’m late for a class?
If you are running late for a class, you are still welcome to attend up to 20 minutes past the start time. Please let the teacher know in advance, so they can try and keep your space for you. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that we will still have a space available for you and your credit will be considered used. Also, it is at the teacher’s discretion to accept students who arrive after this time, because they may not deem it safe to do the activity after missing the proper warm up.
How can I book a private class?
- Visit our Prices & Packages page here and scroll down to use our online portal to see our private/semi-private class options and book with a teacher whose availability matches yours or your group’s.
- Please note that we are not offering rooms for private classes. It is your or your group's responsibility to provide the space for the private class.
- At the time of booking the private class, payment needs to be made in full. How much each participant pays is up for your group to decide and work out.
How can I cancel a private class?
You can cancel a private class up until 24 hours before the scheduled start time by using the “Early Cancel” feature on your account’s Scheduled Visits.
How can I start a class at my work place?
Please fill out our Corporate Web Form on our Prices & Packages page, and we will send you an email with all of our different corporate options and some questions for you to complete in order to schedule classes at your work place.

Is my credit card secure on your website?
Online payments are processed and all customer details are stored on the Mindbody database and website which are fully SSL accredited and monitored 24/7 for any sign of malicious activity. We use Adyen Payment Solutions to ensure the security of your online purchases. For more information please visit Adyen Payment Solutions.  


*Please Note* Some students may receive a notice about the Affordable Yoga & Fitness site being 'non secured'. This does not relate to your financial security, this is simply the difference between an https: and http: address (which we utilize to list our schedule, teacher bios, class descriptions, etc).  NO CREDIT CARD INFORMATION IS STORED ON THE AY&F WEBSITE. We are vigilant to provide you with the highest security possible. 

Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from our sites allow you to opt out of further mailings. Affordable Yoga and Fitness will never sell trade, rent, exchange or otherwise share your personal information with any other person, company or organisation.
I received a refund as account credit, but I can't see this credit in my account, how do I use it?


- To use this credit, please visit Mindbody Online online store. (links below)

- Log in with the same username and password you use for our website.

- From there, you will be able to see how much credit you have available, and use it to buy services and products.

- You can use it just like cash by paying with the “Account” option on the final check out screen.

- You can do it in 2 ways: 1. Buy credit to use later, from the 'services' tab or 2. Go to the schedule and click on sign up to reserve a place for a class - after which the system will prompt you to 'buy credit'

- E.g. when you choose what you want to buy, it will still say you 'buy' credit and you will be guided through the checkout and buying process. But at the final stage you will be able to choose a 'payment method' and there you will be given an option to pay with your existing account credit instead of using your bank card.

- if you go to book a class from the timetable /schedule page, the system will still say 'you do not have enough credit' and will prompt you to 'buy' credit - do not be alarmed, as mentioned it counts account credit just like 'cash' available for you to pay for products or services, so you will need to choose what you would like to purchase and go through the buying process. 

- Please Note: If you are buying something that costs more than the amount of your available credit, you will be able to partially pay the difference by debit/credit card. If you are buying something that costs less than your amount of credit, the remainder will be available to put towards you next purchase. 

e.g. you have 30€ account credit on your account. you would like to buy 5 class pass of 60min classes - 28€. you will need yo go through to the check out and complete the purchase. you will have 2€ left to use for the next time. 

The credit I purchased is not available for me to use, what does this mean?
There are a few reasons this may be happening. The first is that your purchase may not have been processed for a reason related to your card or a technical glitch on our side. In this case please contact us at help@affordableyoga.com , and we can check for you.  

Or, if you have already signed up for a class using one of your credits, our system will automatically debit that credit even if the class has not yet taken place. Per our cancellation policy, you have until 10 hours before the class start time to “Early Cancel” yourself and receive your credit back.
Dealing with "unpaid" classes
Sometimes, our system may allow you to sign up for a class even though you don’t have credits on your account for the class. To limit this problem, our teachers will do two things if you get to a class and they see that you do not have sufficient credit.

1. They will cancel your reservation and then sign you up again to make sure there are no errors.

2. If the class is still showing as « unpaid » our teachers will ask you to pay for the class (it will be your choice whether you purchase a drop in class or a class pack). Even if you know, or think that you have credits on your account, we ask that you pay for the "unpaid" class you are about to attend or have already attended. Our teachers are paid per head and per the amount of students having paid for their class. The credits you may already have on your account can still be used at a later date (single drop in classes last for 12 months and class packs have no expiration date !).

We regularly check for "unpaid" classes and when we notice one on your account, we will send you a notification. You then have seven days to respond. If we do not hear from you we will send a second notification upon which you have 48 hrs to get in contact with us, before we temporarily suspend your account. 

All accounts with unpaid visits that have not been settled after 48hrs of being sent the final (second) notice will be suspended until the payments have been processed.

What does it mean if I am on the waitlist for a class?
- If you are on the “Waitlist” you will automatically be allocated a space in the class once a slot becomes available, and you will be notified via email by our booking system. Your credit will be counted as used for instances where you have been moved from the waitlist within the 10hrs cancelation policy window and cancel within this time, or do not attend class. Therefore, please ensure that you are fully committed to attending the class if on the waitlist.
-If you sign up on the waitlist and do not think you can attend and do not wish to potentially lose your credit, we recommend that you consider cancelling that spot 10 hours prior to class.

- If you do not get added automatically from the waitlist, but you still show up for the class, you will receive priority over drop-in clients if those from the main list do not show up. However, this still does not guarantee a spot in the class.  

- Your account will not be credited from the waitlist. It is only credited if your name is on the main list.
I can't view the schedule via the MindBody Connect App?
This is usually due to an update in the MindBody application that simply needs to be re-loaded onto your computer or smartphone. After making the update, the schedule should show up as usual allowing your to pre-register and even check in for the class you would like to attend. If there are ever any additional issues, please send an email to help@affordableyoga.com .

What are your cancellation and attendance policies?
- If you cannot attend a class you have pre-paid for and reserved, you can cancel any time up to 10 hours before the start of the class. Your credit will be returned to your account to use for a future class.

- If you fail to cancel more than 10 hours before class, or do not attend the class, your class credit will be counted as used.

- If you are on the “Waitlist” you will automatically be allocated a space in the class once a slot becomes available, and you will be notified via email by our booking system. Your credit will be counted as used for instances where you have been moved from the waitlist within the 10hrs cancellation policy window and do not cancel within this time, or do not attend class. Therefore, please ensure that you are fully committed to attending the class if on the waitlist.

- If you are running late, you will be able to join the class up to 20min after its start. After that, the system will count you as 'no show'. In order to keep your place in case of running late, please notify the teacher before the class starts.

- In cases where the class capacity is at its maximum and drop-in students attend, if you do not notify the teacher of your lateness, your place may be given away.

- The above policies apply to all drop-in, class pass, and existing membership payment schemes.

- If you are an unlimited membership holder, we ask you to treat your class reservations with the same respect as you would if you were booking individual classes. In cases of 2 consecutive 'no shows', your ability to book online may be suspended, and Affordable Yoga and Fitness reserve the right to cancel your Unlimited Membership.

- We have an open policy where we do not restrict anyone to drop by and attend classes even if they did not have a chance to reserve in advance, so everyone is very welcome to come and join us even if it is a last minute decision!

- Drop in visitors will be welcome to join the class on a first come first served basis. If the class is showing as being fully booked in advance, drop in places may still be made available at the beginning of the class if there are late cancellations or no shows.

- Priority is given to clients who have pre-registered for a class over drop-in clients.

- Class capacity limit will be set at the physical capacity of each room (and shown on our schedule). Priority will be given to those who have pre-paid in advance, however we expect there will always be drop in places available for those who arrive without pre-paying.

- Arriving on time to your class is important for you (your body needs to warm up before practicing), your teacher (they can start on time) and the other students (who may be disturbed by late arrivals).

- For Private classes: all appointments must be cancelled up to 24h before the beginning of your class. No refund will be issued for classes cancelled less than 24h before the start time. Classes cancelled within the early cancellation window will be returned to your account for future use.
Is it possible that Affordable Yoga and Fitness may cancel a class or event?
- Low attendance cancellation policy: classes with 4 or less students will be cancelled 2 hours before the start of the class. An auto-email will be sent out and class credit restored to accounts.

- Outdoor class cancellation policy: if the weather is bad, Affordable Yoga and Fitness may cancel classes 2 or more hours before the start of a class. An auto-email will be sent out and class credit restored to accounts. Please note that if the weather is bad and we have to cancel a few classes any membership (contract) credits that can not be used will not be refunded.

- If no substitute teacher can be found to teach a class, it may be cancelled 2 hours or more before the start of the class. Again, an auto-email will be sent out and class credit restored to accounts.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds are offered in the form of credit into the customer's AY&F account. This credit can be given in form of specific class credit, or general account credit to use to purchase a range of our products and services at your convenience and preference. Refunds back onto credit cards will only be given in exceptional circumstances.
Can I use my credits (or guest pass) to invite friends or family members?
Certainly! You can use one of your pre-paid credits as a gift to a friend. If you would like to invite a friend to introduce them to AY+F, or they are visiting Paris, you can use one of you existing credits or purchase a drop-in session for them without the need to setup a separate account. Please email help@affordableyoga.com and our admin team will sign you into the desired class twice - one time for you and the second time for your guest. Alternatively you can also notify the teacher when checking in at the beginning of class.
They will then check you in twice - for yourself and your friend. If the class is at full capacity and you wish to reserve the friend's space in advance please email us and we can do it from our system. 

If your guest will come more than once, we kindly ask that they create their own account and purchases their own credits. Please do not share your login details to allow a friend to use your account for signing into classes. 

However, it is possible for one account to use another account's credit. For example, you wish to pay with your account for your spouse, child or parent. In this case the person still needs to have their own account and your account needs to be linked as the "paying" account. Please contact our support team at help@affordableyoga.com which will assist you in setting this up correctly.

 

What is your Cancellation Policy for Workshops?
Refunds will be available as Affordable Yoga & Fitness account credit up until 72 hours (or 3 days) before the scheduled workshop. No refunds of any form will be given after this deadline. Cancellation and refund requests may be sent to help@affordableyoga.com.

"Early Cancelling" the workshop yourself 2 hours or more before the start time will not reinstate your credit. You must directly contact Support/Help team to request this action.

Low Attendance Cancellation Policy:

There must be 4 or more participants registered for a workshop 48 hours (or 2 days) before it is scheduled to take place. If not, we will need to cancel the workshop. In this case, you will be notified of the cancellation and you will be refunded in the form of Affordable Yoga & Fitness account credit that can be used towards future workshops, or any of our classes and services.
My account has been suspended - what is the reason and what can I do?
We reserve the right to suspend accounts in the case of outstanding payments that could not be resolved after several attempts of contacting the customer, in cases of violation of our general policies (such as using letting other people use your account to attend classes) or in the (rare) cases of gross misconduct. 
If you notice you cannot sign up for classes anymore because your account is suspended please get in touch with our support team at help@affordableyoga.com, which will inform you of the next steps to lift your suspension.

 

 

Class Related

 

Can I eat before a yoga class (or fitness class)?
For a Yoga class, we suggest eating light snacks maximum 2 hours before class and bigger meals maximum 3 hors prior to class.
For a Fitness class, eating a light carbohydrate snack (such as a piece of fruit) about 30 min to class is recommended.
What should I wear for a class?
Different classes have different recommendations. So please check your individual class description, but as a general rule, YOGA and BodyART are practiced barefoot. 

Ballet barre, Barre au sol, and Pilates – definitely no trainers/athletic shoes, but you have a choice of being barefoot or wear socks if you prefer. 
For all of these classes it is best to wear clothes that doesn’t restrict your movement.

For Zumba, flexible trainers/athletic shoes, or dance shoes,

For bootcamp (both indoor and outdoor) sessions you will need sturdy trainers/athletic shoes that give good support to your foot and grippy surface. For outdoor sessions in autumn, winter and spring, think of wearing several layers rather than one or two warm items, so you can take them off during class as you warm up and layer up as you cool down.
I’m a beginner, which classes shall I chose?
Yoga styles that we recommend for beginners: Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Foundations of Yoga, Gentle Yoga

Fitness classes that we recommend for beginners: Barre au sol, Pilates, BodyART.
Can I attend class if I am pregnant?
Of course! Yoga and other low intensity fitness classes such as Pilates will provide you and your baby with many health benefits during pregnancy when done with proper modifications. Though if you are new to any activity, we strongly recommend getting approval from your doctor first. We also suggest waiting to attend classes until after the first trimester since it is the most delicate period. Please let the teacher know at the beginning of the class that you are pregnant so he or she can suggest modifications.
If you are completely new to Yoga, Pilates or the other fitness styles we offer, it is generally advised to wait until after your pregnancy to start with these activities. But again, please check with your doctor.
I am not flexible - can I do yoga?
Definitely. Improved flexibility is one of the many benefits of a regular Yoga practice; it is not a pre-requisite :-)
Modifications will be offered in all classes for different bodies and abilities.
Is anyone too old for yoga?
No way! Yoga is an activity that meets you exactly where you are - be it your age, ability, emotional state, whatever! If you are mindful during your practice, you should be able to find the joy and meet your goals no matter what. It is a practice that is meant to be for life.
Is yoga a religion?
No. Though some people practice for spiritual reasons, many others do not - and reasons for doing yoga are quite personal. We do not impart spiritual views in any of our classes, though we may suggest themes to help you use your yoga in practical ways off your mat and outside of the studio.
Can I go to a class if I have an injury?
Yes, and depending on the injury, yoga and other low impact exercises may help you recover more quickly and maintain your strength. However, we strongly recommend getting approval from your doctor before attending a class. Please also let the teacher know about your injury or health issue before the class begins so he or she can suggest modifications. Please note that our teachers are not medical professionals, and you are ultimately responsible for taking care of yourself during a class, being mindful of your own body’s limitations, and taking breaks if and when needed.
