How do I book a class?
- Sign into your online account with us (or create one if you have not already done so).

- Visit the schedule page and select “Sign Up” next to the class(es) of your choosing.

- If you do not have sufficient credit, you will be prompted to purchase a class pass or a drop-in credit before making your reservation (see pricing here).
Can I book a class for a friend?

We recommend every student create their own account. Sharing an account or sharing a class pass undermines our already-affordable pricing structure, so instead we ask each student to purchase their own class pass/class credits.


However, we understand that sometimes our students want to bring a friend for a single class, and we're happy to welcome guests, so you can still register for a friend by logging into MindBodyOnline for Paris or MindBodyOnline for Toulouse (use the same username and password that you use to log into affordableyoga.com or the mobile app. Then, find your class, and the system will ask you to indicate if you're booking for yourself or for a friend. Simply repeat the process to book the same class a second time under your own account.

Do I need to buy credit online?
No, you can drop into a class without a reservation and buy a credit with a credit card with the teacher. You only need to buy credit online if you would like to pre-reserve your spot in a class (which is a good idea for our busiest classes -- you can always see how many spaces are available from the schedule page).
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
Yes -- we always recommend bringing your own mat. We rent all of our spaces, so we cannot guarantee whether there will be any mats available to borrow (nor can we attest to the quality of any mats that could be in the room -- they're often either donated or left behind). You can purchase a mat from our online store (please note that we only have mats on-site in a few select locations, and we can't always deliver your mat on the same day).
How can I purchase a yoga mat or a gift card?
Visit our online store! Please note that mats are only stored in select locations, and we can't always deliver a mat on the day of your order. Please contact us to let us know where and when you'd like to pick up your mat, and we'll do our best to coordinate with your teacher for a delivery or to let you know where you can pick up your mat. Is my credit card secure on your website?
Online payments are processed and all customer details are stored on the Mindbody database and website which are fully SSL accredited and monitored 24/7 for any sign of malicious activity. We use Adyen Payment Solutions to ensure the security of your online purchases.
If I pre-registered for a class, do I still need to check in with the teacher when I arrive?
Yes! By pre-registering, you are simply reserving your place in the class. The check-in process confirms that you actually attended and helps us to pay our teachers accordingly (they are paid based on how many students attend). The only way we can account for this is if you check in with the teacher personally. If you do not, your credit will still have been utilized, but the instructor will have been shortchanged! It's quick, it's easy, and it's your way to reciprocate for the service that our teachers provide in each class. Plus, it's how we get to know you as a part of the Affordable Yoga & Fitness community.
Are the classes in English or French?
Currently most our classes are in English, but most teachers can give French translations if needed and requested at the beginning of the class. We are starting to add bilingual and French classes to our schedule.
Do you have a mobile app?
Yes, and it is free to download for both Apple and Android devices! Just search "Affordable Yoga" on the App Store or on the Google Play Store.
Where is my class taking place? I can’t see the address in the booking confirmation email.
Visit our Schedule page for the exact address and room where your class is taking place. Some locations have specific meeting locations or access instructions, which will be included in the email you receive to confirm your registration for the class. Make sure your account is set to receive email updates so that you don't miss any of that important information.
If you have any issues finding your class, please contact your instructor directly.
I didn’t receive an email about being moved from waiting list / or class cancellation?
If you opted out of receiving email notifications from us when creating your account, you will not receive these messages from us. To opt back in, please update your profile.

Otherwise, if you never opted out and you are still not seeing messages from us, please update your spam settings and make sure that our messages are not going into your junk folder.
Do you have changing rooms and showers?
The only locations that provide designated changing rooms and showers are 14 Blvd Poissonnière 75009 and 119 Ave. du Général Leclerc 75014. Otherwise, there are restroom spaces where one can change. There are no designated changing areas for outdoor classes in the parks.
Are there lockers?
There are no secure areas in any of our locations for valuables, so we suggest keeping valuables with you in the room. Affordable Yoga & Fitness is not responsible for theft or loss of personal items.
Do I need to book my class in advance?
No, but we suggest doing so as our classes can be pretty busy and it is the only way to secure your spot. Reserve quickly and easily online or through our mobile app on Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
How can I pay for my classes?
From the website, visit our Prices & Packages page and select the type of credit or membership you would like to purchase through our online store. If using the mobile app, just click on the menu and select "buy." You will need to log into your account with us.
How do I redeem a gift card or an account credit?
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment by credit/debit card only (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) or gift card. If you prefer to pay via a bank account without a credit card, you can You can pay either in advance (online while pre-registering for a class) or in-person with the teacher if you choose to drop in without reserving (please note that our classes may be full, so drop-in students are not guaranteed a spot -- check our schedule to see how many students have already reserved). We do not accept cash or check payment (we are paper-free!). We do not accept American Express cards.
How long is my drop in credit / class pass valid (when does my credit/class pass expire)?
Class passes never expire, and drop-in credits are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
What if I’m late for a class?
If you are running late for a class, you are still welcome to attend up until 20 minutes past the start time. Please contact the teacher in advance to let them know so they can try and keep space for you (text is better than calling, since our teachers use their phones to sign students into class). Without that advance notice, we cannot guarantee that we will still have a space available for you, and your class credit will still be considered used. Also, it is at the teacher’s discretion to accept students who arrive after this time or not because they may not deem it safe to do the activity after missing the proper warm-up to safely practice the rest of the class.
How can I book a private class?

How can I cancel a private class?
You can cancel a private class up until 24 hours before the scheduled start time by using the “Early Cancel” feature on your account’s Scheduled Visits. If you cancel any later, you will be charged the full amount of the class. This policy is to compensate for the teacher's time spent preparing for the class, and our time spent coordinating with the teacher.
How can I start a class at my work place?

Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from our sites allow you to opt out of further mailings. I received a refund as account credit, but I can't see this credit in my account, how do I use it?

- Visit MindBody Online store and log in with the same username and password you use for our website.

- From there, you will be able to see how much credit you have available, and use it to buy services and products.

- After selecting your purchases, simply select “Account” as the payment option on the final check out screen.

- You can do it in two ways: 1. Buy credit to use later, from the 'services' tab or 2. Go to the schedule and click on sign up to reserve a place for a class - after which the system will prompt you to 'buy credit'

- if you go to book a class from the timetable /schedule page, the system will still warn you that you do not have enough credit, and will prompt you to 'buy' credit. Don't be alarmed -- if you have an account credit, you'll simply use that as the method of payment.

- Please Note: If you are buying something that costs more than the amount of your available credit, you will be able to use your account credit plus another payment method (debit/credit card). If you are buying something that costs less than your amount of credit, the remainder will stay on your account, available to put towards your next purchase. 

Example: You have 30€ account credit on your account. If you use your account credit to buy a 5 class pass for 60-min classes (28€), you will then have 2€ left to use toward your next purchase.

The credit I purchased is not available for me to use, what does this mean?
There are a few reasons this may be happening. The first is that your purchase may not have been processed for a reason related to your card or a technical glitch on our side. In this case please send us an email, and we can check for you.  

Another reason you may see 'missing' credits on your account is if you have already signed up for a class using one of your credits, because our system will automatically show that credit gone from your account even if the class has not yet taken place. Per our cancellation policy, you have until 10 hours before the class start time to “Early Cancel” yourself and receive your credit back. If you cancel within 10 hours of the class start time, the full cost of the class will be charged from your credits.
Dealing with "unpaid" classes
Sometimes, our system may allow you to sign up for a class even if you don’t have credits on your account for the class. To limit this problem, our teachers will do two things if you get to a class and they see that you do not have sufficient credit for their class.

1. They will cancel your reservation and then sign you up again to make sure there are no errors.

2. If the class is still showing as « unpaid » then our teachers will ask you to pay for the class (it will be your choice as to whether you purchase a drop in class or a class pack). Even if you know, or think that you have credits on your account, we ask that you pay for the "unpaid" class you are about to attend or have already attended. Our teachers are paid per head and per the amount of students having paid for their class. The credits you may already have on your account can still be used at a later date (single drop in classes last for 12 months and class packs have no expiration date!).

We run regular reports to see which students have unpaid classes on their accounts, and we process the due payments accordingly (each unpaid class is processed based on drop-in class pricing). If you ever notice a charge on your account that doesn't seem correct, simply send us an email and we'll make sure everything is in order on your account.

What does it mean if I am on the waiting list for a class?
-If you sign up on the waitlist but then make other plans or think you might not be able to attend the class, we recommend that you consider cancelling that spot prior to 10 hours before the class start time, so that your account will not be charged in case you are moved from the waitlist to the registered list.

- If you are on the waitlist you will automatically be allocated a space in the class if/when a slot becomes available, and you will be notified via email. Make sure that you are signed up to receive emails so that you don't miss these notifications (log into the website to update your email preferences). Your credit will be counted as used for instances where you have been moved from the waitlist within the 10hrs cancellation policy window and cancel within this time, or do not attend class. Therefore, please ensure that you are fully committed to attending the class if you are on the waitlist.

- If you do not get added automatically from the waitlist, but you still show up for the class and a space becomes available because a registered student does not show up, you will receive priority over drop-in clients. However, this still does not guarantee a spot in the class.  

- Your account will not be credited if you are still on the waitlist by the time of the class. Your credits are used only if your name is on the main class check-in list.
I can't view the schedule via the MindBody App...what's wrong?
This is usually caused by an update to the MindBody application. Try re-downloading the application, and then you should be able to reserve a spot. If you still have problems, you can always "drop in" to a class without registering, but if you need further assistance, please contact us.



Policies, Terms & Conditions


What are your Terms and Conditions that I should be aware of (website use, abuse of pricing options, pause of contract)?

Pricing abuse & account termination: Affordable Yoga & Fitness reserves the right to terminate the account of any student found to be abusing the pricing options. This includes price-sharing (multiple students using the same pricing package), creating multiple accounts for yourself, or any other forms of acquiring unfair discounts on our pricing. We want to keep yoga and fitness affordable for everyone, so this policy is meant for the protection of our business and for all our students.


Pausing accounts: If you have a membership (no longer available for purchase, but still valid for those who purchased them before), Affordable Yoga & Fitness may pause your account as a courtesy if you inform us at least 10 days before the payment date that will cover the pause period. For example, if your payment date is the 15th of the month and you want to put your account on pause for a vacation July 20-29, you will need to inform us of these dates by July 5 at the latest.


Please note that a contract pause is not guaranteed, and we reserve the right to refuse or limit membership pauses to reduce administrative time and costs and keep classes affordable for everyone. French law (NF525) prohibits us from changing the validity dates of a payment after it is processed, so by informing us before payment is processed, we can adjust your payment dates and ensure you can take advantage of your full membership benefits.

What are your cancellation and attendance policies?
- If you cannot attend a class you have pre-paid for and reserved, you can cancel any time up until 10 hours before the start of the class. Your credit will be returned to your account to use for a future class.
- If you fail to cancel at least 10 hours before class begins, or if you do not attend the class, your class credit will be counted as used.
- If you are on the “Waitlist” you will automatically be allocated a space in the class once a slot becomes available, and you will be notified via email (make sure you are opted into email updates by updating your account here). Your credit will be counted as used for instances where you have been moved from the waitlist within the 10hrs cancellation policy window and cancel within this time, or do not attend class. Therefore, please ensure that you are fully committed to attending the class if you are on the waitlist.
- If you are running late, you will be able to join the class up to 20min after its scheduled start time. After that, the system will count you as 'no show'. If you are running late, please contact the teacher (text is best) in order to keep your place.
- In cases where the class capacity is at its maximum and drop-in students attend, if you do not notify the teacher of your lateness, your place may be given away.
- The above policies apply to all drop-in, class pass, and existing membership payment schemes.
- If you are an unlimited membership holder, we ask you to treat your class reservations with the same respect as you would if you were booking individual classes. In cases of 2 consecutive 'no shows', your ability to book online may be suspended, and we reserve the right to cancel your Unlimited Membership. 
- Drop in visitors can join on a first come first served basis. If the class is fully booked in advance, drop in places may still be made available if there are late cancellations or no shows.
- If you're on the waitlist and a space becomes available due to a registered student not showing up, you will be given priority over drop-in clients (as long as you are physically there at the class start time).
- Class capacity limit will be set at the physical capacity of each room (and shown on our schedule). Priority will be given to those who have pre-paid in advance, however we expect there will always be drop in places available for those who arrive without pre-paying.
- Arriving on time to your class is important for you (your body needs to warm up before practicing), your teacher (so they can start on time) and the other students (who may be disturbed by late arrivals).
- For Private classes: all appointments must be cancelled up to 24h before the beginning of your class. No refund will be issued for classes cancelled less than 24h before the start time. This is to compensate the teacher for their time spent preparing for the class, and to cover our administrative costs of coordinating private classes. Classes cancelled at least 24 hours in advance will be reimbursed to your account in the form of an account credit, available to be used for future purchases with Affordable Yoga & Fitness.
Does Affordable Yoga and Fitness cancel events and classes? Why?
Yes, we do sometimes cancel classes for the reasons below. We do our best to notify all registered students of cancellation (via email). Make sure you are opted into email communications so that you don't miss such announcements.
- Low attendance cancellation policy: classes with 10 or less students will be cancelled 2 hours before the start of the class. An auto-email will be sent out and class credit restored to accounts.

- Outdoor class cancellation policy: if the weather is bad, Affordable Yoga and Fitness may cancel classes 2 or more hours before the start of a class. An auto-email will be sent out and class credit restored to accounts.  Please note that if the weather is bad and we have to cancel a few classes any membership (contract) credits that can not be used will not be refunded.

- If a substitute teacher cannot be found to teach a class, it may be cancelled 2 hours or more hours before the start of the class. Again, an auto-email will be sent out and class credit restored to accounts.
Remember, our teachers are human, and sometimes injuries or other issues happen which force us to cancel. We do our best to minimize these occurrences, and we appreciate our students' understanding when we must cancel.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds are offered in the form of Affordable Yoga & Fitness account credit. This credit can be given in form of specific class credit, or general account credit to use to purchase a range of our products and services at your convenience and preference. Refunds back onto payment cards will only be given in exceptional circumstances, and the credit card processing fee (as well as possibly an administrative fee) will be deducted from the refund amount.
Can I use my credits (or guest pass) to invite friends or family members?
Certainly! You can use one of your pre-paid credits as a gift to a friend if they'd just like to come to try out Affordable Yoga & Fitness, or if they are visiting Paris. You can use one of your existing credits or purchase a drop-in session for them under your own account via the MindBody website.

Note: previously, students were able to register twice for the same class via the Affordable Yoga website or app, but we have since changed our policy to get a more accurate count of new vs. returning students. If you have any issues with the new process for reserving a space for a guest, contact us.

To clarify, class passes are for the sole use of account holder only and should not be shared between students on an ongoing basis. For a friend who will come more than once, we ask that they kindly create an account and purchase their own credit. Students who are found to be abusing our discounted pricing by sharing a class pass on a continual basis may be subject to termination of their account with Affordable Yoga & Fitness. We don't want to do that, so please respect our already-low prices by purchasing your own class pass.

If you wish to continue to pay for the another customer on an ongoing basis, i.e. if they are a family member, we can set up a payment relationship between the two different accounts so that your class pass covers both students. This will make class booking and signing in easier for you and our teachers. Simply email us to request that change to your account.
What is your Cancellation Policy for Workshops?
Refunds will be available as Affordable Yoga & Fitness account credit up until 72 hours (or 3 days) before the scheduled workshop. No refunds of any form will be given after this deadline. Send us an email to request cancellations and/or a refund.

"Early Cancelling" the workshop yourself will not reinstate your credit. You must directly contact us to request this action.

Low Attendance Cancellation Policy:

There must be 4 or more participants registered for a workshop 48 hours (or 2 days) before it is scheduled to take place. If not, we will need to cancel the workshop. In this case, you will be notified of the cancellation and you will be refunded in the form of Affordable Yoga & Fitness account credit that can be used towards future workshops, or any of our classes and services.



Class Related


Can I eat before a yoga class (or fitness class)?
We suggest not eating anything 2 hours or less before your class.
What should I wear for a class?
Different classes have different recommendations. So please check your individual class descprition, but as a general rule, for YOGA and BodyART are practiced barefoot,

Ballet barre, Barre au sol, and Pilates – definitely no trainers/athletic shoes, but you have a choice of being barefoot or wear socks if you prefer, and for all of these and its best to wear clothes that doesn’t restrict your movement.

For Zumba, flexible trainers/athletic shoes, or dance shoes,

For bootcamp (both indoor and outdoor) sessions you will need sturdy trainers/athletic shoes that give good support to your foot and grippy surface. For outdoor sessions in autumn, winter and spring, think of wearing several layers rather than one or two warm items, so you can get rid of them and then layer up as you warm up and cool down.
I’m a beginner, which classes shall I chose?
Yoga styles that we recommend for beginners: Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Foundations of Yoga, Gentle Yoga

Fitness classes that we recommend for beginners: Barre au sol, Pilates, BodyART, Nia.
Can I go to a class if I am pregnant?
Of course! Yoga and other low intensity fitness classes such as pilates will provide you and your baby with many health benefits during pregnancy when done with proper modifications. Though if you are new to any activity, we strongly recommend getting approval from your doctor first. We also suggest waiting to attend classes until after the first trimester since it is the most delicate period. Please let the teacher know at the beginning of the class that you are pregnant so he or she can suggest modifications.
I am not flexible - can I do yoga?
Definitely. Modifications will be offered in all classes for different bodies and abilities. And yoga will certainly help increase flexibility with consistent practice over time.
Is anyone too old for yoga?
No way! Yoga is an activity that meets you exactly where you are- be it your age, ability, emotional state, whatever! If you are mindful during your practice, you should be able to find the joy and meet your goals no matter what. It is a practice that is meant to be for life.
Is yoga a religion?
No. Though some people practice for spiritual reasons, many others do not- and reasons for doing yoga are quite personal. We do not impart spiritual views in any of our classes, though we may suggest themes to help you use your yoga in practical ways off your mat and outside of the studio.
Can I go to a class if I have an injury?
Yes, and depending on the injury, yoga and other low impact exercises may help you recover more quickly and maintain your strength. However, we strongly recommend getting approval from your doctor before attending a class. Please also let the teacher know about your injury or health issue before the class begins so he or she can suggest modifications. Please note that our teachers are not medical professionals, and you are ultimately responsible for taking care of yourself during a class, being mindful of your own body’s limitations, and taking breaks if and when needed.
